Who are we?
PQplus has been supporting providers since 2017, helping them register their NDIS businesses, and take command of their Quality and compliance obligations.
We tailor our support to our clients’ objectives and situation. New to the NDIS, or old hands, we listen to their perspectives, and fit in alongside their team.
Through dramatic changes in the NDIS landscape, we’ve kept a close eye on things and kept our clients in-the-know and up-to-date. We’ve developed tools they need – some released as free resources – and pioneered training courses on the NDIS Practice Standards.
We think NDIS providers deserve to feel supported. They take on big responsibilities. They should be able to access real expertise – affordably and reliably. That’s why we’re here.
Our Achievements
- Supported organisations of all sizes, scopes, and locations to navigate the NDIS system, achieve NDIS provider registration and set up businesses.
- Developed fit-for-purpose NDIS Quality Management Systems for providers, including fully compliant policies and procedures, forms, and tools for implementation.
- Provided in-person training and advice to ensure NDIS providers understand their Quality Management Systems, risk management and improvement responsibilities.
- Conducted internal audits and gap analyses to ensure NDIS compliance and build provider capacity.
- Delivered a series of in-depth, in-person Guided Audit Preparation workshops.
- Developed comprehensive online training for Quality Managers/Business Owners — Practical Audit Prep: NDIS Practice Standards Core Module
- Provided transition support and training to some of the largest Residential Aged Care providers in relation to NDIS compliance requirements.
- Developed resources to support provider implementation of specific compliance requirements (including Emergency & Disaster Management Standard resources, Individualised Living Options (ILO Toolkit), Participant Risk Kit).
- Provided free resources to help providers understand and meet their NDIS Quality and Safeguarding responsibilities (Participant Welcome Pack, articles, and videos).
- Become a trusted consultant with strong relationships with NDIS Approved Auditing Companies.
- Supported organisations that have received NDIS Commission compliance notices to address issues.
- Completed Reportable Incident Investigations as an independent investigator.
PQplus has also supported organisations to comply with a wide range of community sector quality standards, including National Child Safe Standards, Human Services Quality Standards (Qld), Voluntary Out-of-Home Care Standards (NSW), Human Services Standards (Vic), National Standards for Mental Health, Aged Care Quality Standards.
Susan Hawkins
Director PQplus
Susan Hawkins specialises in community sector Quality Management. She has worked with organisations across the community sector, in disability, aged care, mental health, and children in out-of-home care. With PQplus, Susan works alongside NDIS providers of all sizes and experience, helping them to solve problems and manage compliance confidently.
Susan has high-level policy experience in government (including developing Quality and Safeguards requirements), holds qualifications as Lead Auditor Quality Management Systems.
Susan is supported by the PQplus team: a select group of Community Sector professionals with decades of experience in quality management in government and the community sector — and each with their own expertise. They remain engaged with the Community Sector and in touch with the rapidly-changing demands in the current market-driven NDIS environment.
